Piewiet 1200

The Piewiet 1200 was designed and built for the OSTAR, so it is a boat made for upwind sailing. It is quite narrow for its length, especially for this purpose. It is very stiff under sail with a leadkeel which is laminated and bolted to the hull.

The first owner bought the boat new from the Van de Rest shipyard in Kats, Holland, and finished the interior himself between '96 and '98 as he was a carpenter.

The boat is form the second owner and he has owned the boat for 9 years. All frames and shelves are laminated. There is no noise in the boat while underway except for the sound of the waves. The construction is very solid.

The boat is stiff, fast, safe, cozy, and comfortable. It measures 11.85 x 3.45 x 2.00 m and can accommodate 7 people.
